Setting up your merchant account is going to be a top priority when setting up your platform. This article will walk you through the setup process so you can set up your merchant account and start receiving deposits.
*Note: Stripe is only available to gyms in Canada and Australia.
👉 If you have a Stripe account with another platform or your own personal Stripe account, you will not be able to use it with Studio. You will need to create a new Stripe Merchant Account under Studio in order to process payments.
Step 1. Go to Settings > Stripe Payments > Connect with Stripe
Begin by entering your business and personal information.
Key Notes:
Sole Proprietor: Enter Personal Name & SSN
LLC / Corporation: Enter Legal Business Name (not DBA) & EIN
Now your merchant account is set up, move on to Step 2.
Step 2. Add Bank Account Info. If you don't have this information immediately available, no worries, you can enter this later.
NOTE: Stripe verifies bank accounts, identity, etc, and may require additional information from you. Here's a list of common additional verifications:
Voided Bank Check
Photo Identity Card
Note: You cannot start receiving money from members until you have set up your Stripe Merchant Account & Bank Account Information!
